Launch site: LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida
STS-124 will be the 26th U.S. mission to the International Space Station. This flight by the space shuttle Discovery will deliver and install the massive Kibo science laboratory module and and robotic arm system to the space station for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. The STS-124 mission is the second of three flights that will launch components to complete the Japanese contribution to the station. Delayed from April 24 and May 25. See our Mission Status Center. ALL SHUTTLE LAUNCH PACKAGES DEPART FROM THE ORLANDO AREA ONLY
By purchasing any of the below packages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood & agreed to the terms and conditions listed at the bottom of this page.
SHUTTLE LAUNCH - Standard and VIP Packages
Only the VIP package includes Launch Transportation Ticket (LTT) viewing (closest viewing site available to general public). All other packages include viewing from within KSCVC.
Access to some areas of KSCVC, including U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame may be restricted and/or unavailable on launch days.
If outside 72 hours of scheduled excursion departure time NASA reschedules the launch day to a later date, guest may cancel or reschedule their excursion to the new launch date at no charge.
If within 72 hours of scheduled excursion date (up to the point of boarding their tour vehicle) NASA reschedules the launch to a later date, guests have two options:
1) Reschedule to the new launch date at a cost of $25.00 per person.
2) Visit Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on the originally scheduled date.
If within 72 hours - there will be no refunds should the shuttle launch be rescheduled to a date outside of the dates of the guest's vacation.
In the event of a scrub once onboard tour vehicle or at KSCVC
Standard Launch Package - No refunds will be issued by Tour Operator. Guests will be transported to KSCVC for normal admission on the original launch date. Tour Operator will charge a nominal additional transport fee ($25.00 per person per day) for any guests that opt to return to view the next launch attempt from the main Visitor Complex, covering their transport costs. Their admission ticket from the original launch date is all they will need for reentry; this applies to all rescheduled launch dates for duration of their vacation. Lost or stolen admission tickets will not be replaced and a new admission would need to be purchased in addition to the $25.00 transportation charge.
VIP Package: Prior to guests having been transported to the LTT Viewing Site - No refunds will be issued by Tour Operator. Guests will be transported to KSCVC for normal admission day on the original launch date.· Any LTT held by those guests will be valid as either a retail or food voucher in the amount of $15. No change will be issued on these vouchers so guests are advised to use their tickets on purchases of at least $15. Tour Operator will give guests the option of keeping their LTT tickets and rescheduling for the next launch attempt. Their admission ticket from the original launch date is all they will need for reentry; this applies to all rescheduled launch dates for duration of their vacation. Tour Operator will charge a nominal additional transport fee ($25.00 per person per day) for these guests for each additional visit to KSCVC, covering their transport costs. Lost or stolen admission and LTT tickets will not be replaced and a new admission would need to be purchased for each in addition to the $25.00 transportation charge.
VIP Package: Once guests have been transported to the LTT Viewing Site - No refunds will be issued by Tour Operator. With transport to the viewing site having taken place, the LTT ticket will have been collected from the guest and will be considered used. It will not be valid for further use in any capacity. Guests will be offered the opportunity to return for the next launch attempt. They would view from the main visitor complex (not the LTT site). Their admission ticket from the original launch date is all they will need for reentry. Tour Operator will charge a nominal additional transport fee ($25.00 per person per day) for any guests that opt to return to view the next launch attempt from the main Visitor Complex, covering their transport costs.· Lost or stolen Maximum Access tickets will not be replaced and a new admission would need to be purchased in addition to the $25.00 transportation charge.
Important - Unfortunately, changes to launch and pickup schedules can and do occur quite frequently. Up-to-date Launch Excursion information is available by dialing: 407-352-4646, once connected simply press 7 Any changes to your excursion schedule can be heard here. It is your responsibility to check this information the evening prior to launch day. Failure to check this information may result in you missing your excursion without refund.
